On Tuesday 5th October the Reverend Barbara will be in school to help our children celebrate Harvest Festival. We are hoping for donations to go to the local food bank in Spennymoor.

On Friday 1st October Spennymoor Firebrigade will be coming into school to raise awareness of the dangers of fireworks and will be encouraging the children to stay safe and enjoy them from a distance.

On Friday 19th March school is supporting Red Nose Day.  The children can come to school dressed as a super hero or in their own clothes.  We will use Red Nose Day as a lerning opportunity to help our pupils explore the issues facing young people and how the money we raise can help.

School has arranged a virtual magic show on Wednesday 3rd March starting at 1.00 pm for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  Children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 their show will start at 2.00 pm.  Enjoy the show …

School will be celebrating world book day in school where children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character, pj’s or relaxed clothing.  We are also participating in virtual Zoom meeting with children’s book authors.

Our last day in school and the children can wear a Christmas jumper.  We will be taking photos to put on Facebook.

The children will be completing a reindeer dash on Tuesday 15th December to help raise funds for the Dare to Dream train project.  We will post photos on Facebook

We will be sharing a Christmas lunch with children and staff on Wednesday 9th December.  A letter will be sent home asking if you would like your child to have a Christmas lunch instead of their packed lunch. Information to follow.

School will be closed on Monday 7th December due to a teacher training day.  School will reopen on Tuesday 8th December.

Friday 13th November we will be supporting BBC Children in Need. This will be a non uniform day for our children with all donations going to Children in Need.
